Bridgeland
Hilltop views and a neighbourhood main street.

Mission grew around a Roman Catholic mission established near the Elbow River in the 1870s, and was briefly its own town (Rouleauville) before joining Calgary in 1907. Its French-Canadian roots are still visible in street names and in the landmark Cathedral of St. Mary.
What it’s like to live here
Fourth Street SW is Mission’s main street: independent restaurants, wine bars, bakeries and boutiques with a slower pace than 17th Avenue. The Elbow River pathway winds along the neighbourhood’s edge, perfect for morning runs or an evening walk.
Real estate snapshot
Mission is known for smaller, boutique condo buildings, many with river or park views, along with older walk-ups that offer great value. Buildings near the river should be reviewed for flood mitigation and insurance history; we’ll walk you through what to look for.
Why buyers choose Mission
- A village feel minutes from downtown
- River pathways and parks
- Charming, smaller buildings with fewer neighbours
